Wolff Parkinson White premier from the Small Favours EP

Having relocated to New York City, drummer Jochen Rueckert has formed a new quartet around the axes of Lage Lund on guitar, Matt Penman on bass and Mark Turner at the saxophones.

Wolff Parkinson White‘s new Small Favours EP on Nonplace features guest vocals from the likes of Natalie Beridze, Jesse Murphy, Pascal Le Boeuf and none other than Norah Jones on what they charmingly call “an even number of songs in odd time signatures”.

“Bereavement” features Josh Mease, and like the rest of the 12″ vinyl EP, pushes neatly at the boundaries of jazz and contemporary off-kilter pop, and prefigures the full album Favours, also released on 7 February 2020.
